Community Orchards

Community Orchards

Community orchards are exactly as they suggest, they sit at the heart of a community which may be made up of a broad range of people with very different interests. One of the aims of producing a community orchard is to develop a space that is accessible and usable by all, a space to enjoy, a space to learn, and a space to celebrate. As activity in the orchard builds, the community group can reach out to the wider community, encourage new members and become of broader appeal. It can achieve this through clear communication with the community using online media to update on progress, as well as through a series of events, and the introduction of interpretation that offers a deeper meaning to the site.
