Afal y Graig

Afal Y Graig Artisan Cider is from our orchard in Cwmafan, Port Talbot. Our motto is "Apple to the core" as we only use 100% fresh pressed apple juice.

Great cider is a timeless joy to us at Apple County. We make real cider and perry from 100% freshly pressed juice. Each cider is make from a single variety of bitter-sweet apples all grown in local orchards. We approach cider-making with all the skills and reverence of a traditional winemaker, allowing the distinctive flavours of each variety to develop through a slow, cool fermentation.

Our ciders and perries have won acclaim from chefs, critics, writers, and foodies alike. Valentine Warner, Oz Clarke and Pete Brown have all expressed their appreciation for Apple County Cider.

Gwynt y Draig

In the autumn of 2001 we made our first few barrels of cider on the home farm here in Llantwit Fardre, South Wales. What started as a hobbyist’s experiment quickly became much more serious and an expanded selection of draught and oak-matured bottled ciders followed – each refined over time. The result is, what we believe, some of the finest traditional ciders available.

Placing flavour and quality at the core, our range is still traditionally made here on the farm using carefully selected ingredients, simple recipes and striking blends. Now world-renowned, Gwynt Cider is available in 7 countries around the world. We’re proud to be multiple award-winning, and refreshingly Welsh!

Troggi

Troggi was founded by Michael Penney using initially the milling and pressing equipment based at Usk College. When this equipment became unserviceable the services of Bernard Price at Llanishen were used until their own equipment was installed in 1989. Their permanent cider house opened in 1995 and now Troggi specialises in whole juice dry cider and perry and is developing bottle conditioned products.
